Drug squad officers in central Crete yesterday carry bundles of cannabis plants culled from an illicit plantation in the mountains near Marathos, a village some 20 kilometers (12 miles) west of Iraklion. A total of 250 plants were uprooted and will be incinerated. No arrests were announced.
