State hospital doctors in Athens begin a three-day strike demanding higher salaries and more staff. Employees at the National First Aid Center (EKAB) begin rolling 24-hour strikes until November 15, demanding more pay and that their profession be classified as dangerous. University professors are in the seventh week of a strike for more money.
