Christmas opening hours
Shops in Athens will be open tomorrow, the last Sunday before Christmas, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m, on weekdays 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., today and Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on New Year’s Eve from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Butchers’ shops will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and tomorrow until 4 p.m. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, they will be open until 6 p.m. Shops will be closed on Christmas Day, December 26, December 28, January 1 and January 2. On January 3, shopping hours return to the pre-Christmas schedule. In Thessaloniki the timetable is the same, apart from Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve when shops will close at 4 p.m. On weekdays, they are open till 8.30 p.m.
