A closet that selects your clothes

Another research program and a new philosophy behind it has been developed by the University of Lancaster in cooperation with research institutes around Europe. Called the «smart-Its,» the program uses sensors to increase the intelligence not only of appliances, but of furniture. The researchers have constructed a sofa which can recognize the person sitting down and activate the required appliances. For example, if the person usually watches television, the sofa can activate the TV. The researchers hope to construct bookshelves that can realize when they are too full, and closets that can choose clothes according to the weather.
