Two Austrian climbers killed in Crete fall
Rescue workers on Friday recovered the bodies of two Austrian climbers, aged between 60 and 65, from the Kapsa Gorge in Lasithi, Crete.
The pair had been part of a seven-member climbing expedition in the gorge, which is popular with outdoor enthusiasts, when they accidentally fell into a deep ravine, possibly as a result of ground giving way under their feet.
The other members of the team immediately notified authorities, but it appears that the two were killed in the fall.
No details were released regarding their identities.
