Court upholds jail term against owner of violent dog
The Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld a suspended prison sentence against the owner of a dog that bit a 3-year-old child and the toddler’s mother, overturning an appeal against the one-year suspended term.
Echoing an earlier decision by an Athens court of first instance, the Supreme Court found that the owner of the labrador failed to take adequate measures to prevent her pet from attacking passersby and upheld her conviction on charges of grievous bodily harm.
