Turkish jets violate Greek air space

Two formations of 11 Turkish fighter jets violated Greek air space over the northeastern, central and southeastern Aegean on 10 occasions on Tuesday, Greek defense officials said.

The jets, two of which were armed, were chased off by Greek aircraft, the officials said.

The violations came just a couple of weeks after Greek and Turkish diplomats discussed plans to develop confidence-building measures between the two countries.
