SYRIZA MPs plan to gather to assess bailout plan
SYRIZA’s parliamentary group is due to meet on Thursday to discuss the proposal Greece’s lenders are due to present to Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in Brussels on Wednesday night.
Parliamentary spokesman Nikos Filis said the meeting would take place as Tsipras made a brief televised statement insisting that he was travelling to Brussels to discuss the proposals the Greek side sent to creditors on Monday.
Filis said that Thursday’s gathering of the parliamentary group is a regular meeting that had been planned before the latest developments.
The secretary of SYRIZA’s central committee, Tassos Koronakis told Athens 984 radio station that the other party bodies would only convene once there is a final agreement.
