Attacks launched on SYRIZA, Golden Dawn party offices
Vandals targeted the offices of leftist SYRIZA in Kypseli, near central Athens, in the early hours of Thursday morning and the offices of neofascist Golden Dawn in the northern suberb of Maroussi late on Wednesday in separate attacks.
The assailants that targeted the SYRIZA offices used a homemade explosive device which caused limited damage. The attack on GD’s offices in Maroussi involved around 15 people, who smashed the glass facade but caused no injuries to party members who had been gathered there, according to witnesses.
The attack on the SYRIZA offices, which took place at around 4.20 a.m., also resulted in no injuries, as there had been no one on the premises at the time.
