Mayor put bounty on heads of stray dog poisoners
A local authority in northeastern Greece has offered a 1,000-euro reward for information regarding the poisoning of stray dogs in the Municipality of Doxato near the city of Drama.
Doxato Mayor Dimitris Dalakakis said he would personally provide the money for the bounty. He also called on fellow municipal chiefs to club together to build a shelter for abandoned pets.
“This is an issue that has to be confronted by all of the municipalities in the Drama region working together,” he said.
