Greek PM Tsipras, Russia President Putin to hold talks on phone

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Russian President Vlamidir Putin were scheduled to hold talks by phone at 1 p.m. on Friday, local media reported.

The call was reportedly requested by Greece’s premier. No more details were made immediately available.

Russia has in the past been speculated as a potential source of funding for Greece if it fails to reach a deal with foreign creditors.
