The manager of a local lender’s branch in western Attica was detained last Friday on charges of allegedly developing a bogus investment scheme designed to safeguard deposits in case of a “Grexit,” authorities said.
According to reports, the 49-year-old suspect allegedly scammed 4 unsuspecting clients of a total of over 1 million euros. The same reports suggested the suspect’s illegal activity started in 2013.
