Vandals trash ‘Yes’ campaign kiosk in northern Athens

Vandals on Thursday night used crowbars to smash a campaign kiosk outside the ISAP electric railway station in Maroussi, northern Athens, the state-run Athen-Macedonian News Agency reported on Friday.

The kiosk was part of a campaign to convince Greeks to vote 'Yes' to the proposal by the country's international creditors in a controversial referendum on Sunday.

The attack came as the local municipality was holding an event in support of the same campaign.

Two opposing rallies of supporters from the 'Yes' and 'No' camps have been scheduled on Friday evening in downtown Athens.
