‘I hope seed of discord doesn’t blossom,’ says To Potami chief
“I hope the seed of discord that has been recklessly planted by some in society does not blossom,” Stavros Theodorakis, head of the centrist To Potami party, said after casting his ballot for Sunday’s referendum in Haidari, western Athens.
“From what I can tell by walking around western Athens, I believe that the people will ignore those who believe that it is time for a rift,” said Theodorakis, playing down reactions from several voters at the polling station who hurled insults at him during his entrance.
“Tonight we will have to face the country’s future all together. I hope the prime minister lives up to his promise,” Theodorakis said.
