Turk fighter jets chased out of Greek air space

A formation of six Turkish fighter jets violated Greek air space over the northeastern, central and southeastern Aegean on several occasions on Monday, Greek Defense Ministry officials said.

The six aircraft were flanked by a seventh Turkish plane that was not in the formation, officials said, adding that two of the aircraft were armed.

All the planes were chased off by Greek fighter jets, defense officials said.
