Warning issued over bogus prosecutor
A Supreme Court prosecutor on Monday issued a warning regarding an unidentified individual who has been telephoning heads of organizations and businesses and hospital directors, masquerading as a prosecutor and requesting financial support.
According to the statement released from the Supreme Court, the impostor has made several phone calls under the name Constantinos Roussos, leaving the details of his bank account and cellphone number.
The Supreme Court said it made the announcement as “these phenomena have intensified over the past few days and these acts are crimes,” adding that “no Supreme Court prosecutor has ever asked nor would ask for contributions from third parties.”
