Two police officers injured in chase
Two members of the police’s motorcycle-riding DIAS squad were injured on Wednesday after their bike skidded off the road while they were following a suspicious vehicle in the area of Aghios Stefanos, northern Athens.
The officer riding the motorcycle lost control at one point during the chase for reasons that remained unclear and crashed into a factory yard.
The two men were transferred to a military hospital for treatment of their injuries, the extent of which remained unclear on Wednesday.
Other officers were dispatched to continue the search for the suspects in the vehicle.
