Police tighten net around suspected robbery gang
Police in northern Greece have drawn up case files against six suspected members of a robbery racket that appears to be based in Litohoro, a small town in Pieria.
The suspects – five Albanians and one Greek national – have been linked to at least 10 burglaries on homes and stores in Litohoro over the past two years.
A search by police officers on their homes turned up some of the loot, which was returned to the burglary victims.
The five Albanian suspects face charges of multiple counts of burglary while the Greek national faces charges of harboring a criminal.
