Three women accused of online blackmail
Three women aged 35, 40 and 50 are accused of subjecting a 33-year-old woman to blackmail and cyber-bullying by threatening to tarnish her reputation unless she gave them money.
The victim reported the harassment to the cyber crimes squad, which was able to verify her allegations that the three suspects had demanded 90,000 euros in order to stop posting slanderous content on three seperate websites.
Searches of the suspects’ homes in Athens and Tripoli uncovered three hard drives containing evidence that is currently under further examination.
