Over 400 doctors to have their assets seized

Judicial authorities are expected to order the confiscation of assets belonging to 415 doctors working in public healthcare after they were found to be unable to justify the money they wired abroad over the last few years.

Authorities investigated all the transfers totaling more than 100,000 euros made by state doctors since 2009.

The amounts sent to foreign bank accounts were checked against the tax declarations made by the doctors.
