Woman, 43, arrested for drug possession
Police on the island of Santorini arrested a 43-year-old-woman on charges of illegal drug possession on Friday, after officers discovered 2 kilograms of heroin hidden in a parcel in her luggage, the force said on Saturday.
The suspect, a Kenyan national, was intercepted at the island’s airport, after traveling to Greece from her native country via Brussels with her underage child.
Authorities believe the woman to be a member of an international drug smuggling ring.
