5.2 Richter tremor hits Cyprus

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale shook the island state of Cyprus early on Thursday, the Cyprus Geological Survey Department said. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage following the quake.

The tremor’s epicenter was located in the sesabed, some 200 kilometers northeast of Nicosia at a depth of 20 kilometers.
