Two die in truck, car collision in Peloponnese

A 72-year-old man became the second fatality on Saturday of a crash between a truck and a car on a rural road in the southwestern Peloponnese.
The 72-year-old was driving the truck on the road between the seaside towns of Methoni and Koroni on Friday night when he crashed with an oncoming car being driven by a 46-year-old man.
The truck’s passenger, a woman aged 69, was killed instantly in the collision. The two men were taken to hospital in Kalamata, where the 72-year-old succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.
