Ailing fugitive placed in quarantine
A prison fugitive suffering from multi-drug resistant tuberculosis has been placed in quarantine and is being monitored by doctors from the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (KEELPNO), the agency said on Monday.
Authorities are trying to trace the people the Korydallos Prison inmate may have had contact with since his escape from Sotiria Hospital last week and his rearrest a few days later. He had been undergoing hospital treatment for the highly contagious disease for several weeks when he escaped.
