EFET orders withdrawal of Belgian chocolates sold at Athens airport

The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) on Friday ordered the withdrawal of “Leonidas Ballotin rouge mix” chocolates, lot numbers 041715800 and 040315800, after detecting traces of groundnuts.

According to EFET, the ingredient was not among those listed on the chocolate boxes and may cause allergies.

Produced and packaged by Confiserie Leonidas SA, the chocolates were on sale in 750-gram packages at Hellenic Duty Free Shops at Athens International Airport. Consumers who are allergic to groundnuts were advised not to consume the chocolates.
