Four accused of selling fake papers to migrants on Kos

Four Pakistani nationals faced a prosecutor on Kos on Wednesday as suspected members of a racket that has been supplying migrants arriving on the island with forged documents to either remain in Greece or continue their journeys to other European countries.

The suspects, aged 31, 32, 39 and 50, are alleged to have sold fake documents to other migrants, chiefly Pakistanis.

Police found in their possession photocopies of official documents, several photographs, a fake asylum application and a number of laptops.

The suspects face charges of running a criminal organization and forgery.
