No surprises for Greece in upcoming Eurogroup, official says

A Eurogroup meeting scheduled to take place on Monday is expected to focus on key dates in the upcoming months regarding actions the Greek government has to take to secure the release of 3 billion euros.

A list of government actions is expected to be finalized on a Euroworking Group level on Friday, Kathimerini's Brussels correspondent Eleni Varvitsiotis reported on Thursday.

According to a European official, stress tests for Greek banks are expected to be completed in October. Their recapitalization, a procedure which should be completed by the end of the year, is not necessarily tied to the completion of a first review of the country's third bailout, the official said.

Regarding debt relief, no official discussion had taken place said the official, who referred to a previous decision in July stipulating that the issue would be addressed following a successful first review of the new program.

Eurozone finance ministers are expecting to hear the positions of Greece’s Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos, on Monday, the official added.
