Abandoned kiosks, cars to go in Piraeus cleanup

Municipal workers in Piraeus are to tear down dozens of street kiosks that are no longer in use, Mayor Yiannis Moralis announced Friday.

He said that around 70 kiosks that have been abandoned for years would be removed.

Moralis added that the municipality would next week start removing abandoned cars from the streets of Piraeus, which suffers from a severe shortage of parking spaces.
