Farmers to decide on action against tax hikes
Farmers from the northern part of the country are to meet in Larissa, central Greece, at the end of the week to decide on what action to take to protest planned changes to their taxation, which includes the 100 percent pre-payment of their tax obligations.
“Regardless of what party they support, on Sunday in Larissa I will ask my colleagues to unite in protest,” said the head of the Panhellenic Coordinating Committee for Farmers and Livestock Breeders, Christos Gontias. “We have to agree on common dates and to fight together.”
