Head of social security reform committee receives envelop containing bullet
The vice president of Greece’s Court of Audit, Anna Ligomenou, on Friday received an envelope containing a bullet and a threatening letter. Ligomenou is also the head of a committee which recently submitted a series of proposals regarding reforms in the social security system.
In the letter, the unidentified sender expressed their objections to the committee’s proposals, noting that Ligoumenou was responsible “for the massacre which will take place in the social security system.”
The envelope was delivered to the council’s headquarters in central Athens along with the rest of the mail.
