Parties to receive money for September election
The Interior Ministry on Tuesday confirmed a decision to pay 1.2 million euros of taxpayers’ money to the parties that took part in the September 20 general elections.
Fifteen parties qualified for state funding, from SYRIZA, which was awarded almost 488,000 euros, to Popular Unity, which received nearly 11,000 euros.
Golden Dawn is excluded from receiving any public money as its leadership is on trial for alleged felonies.
