Gov’t ministers to file lawsuit against Panousis
Justice Minister Nikos Paraskevopoulos and Alternate Minister for Citizens’ Protection Nikos Toskas were on Wednesday expected to file a lawsuit against former citizens’ protection minister Yiannis Panousis after he claimed that he was threatened by SYRIZA cadres with links to terrorists.
Supreme Court prosecutor Efterpi Koutzamani was expected to decide as soon as Wednesday to order an investigation into the claims which have prompted a political storm.
On Tuesday government officials continued to attempt to play down Panousis’s claims with some underlining the fact that they were made alongside the publication of extracts from his yet-to-be-published crime thriller.
