Greek farmers protest planned tax increases
Farmers protesting upcoming legislation that will increase the taxes they pay staged protests over the weekend and threatened further action.
Farmers from across the Peloponnese converged at the Isthmus of Corinth on Saturday at noon, holding banners and chanting slogans protesting the austerity program being pursued by the government.
