Driver dies after truck plunges into ravine off Egnatia Highway

Fire service workers cut the body of a truck driver out of the wreck of his vehicle Thursday after it plunged into a 200-meter-deep ravine off the Egnatia Highway in Thesprotia, northern Greece.
Rescue workers continued their search until nightfall as it remained unclear whether a second person had been in the truck when it veered off the road and fell into the ravine near the village of Paramythia.
It was also unclear what had caused the incident though there was heavy rainfall and thick fog in the area.
