Farmers in Central Greece up protest action, close roads
Farmers in Larissa, central Greece, will be ratcheting up their protest action this week by holding rallies and closing off parts of the road network with their tractors.
Farmers around the country are reacting to government plans for tax increases in their sector.
Associations in central Greece said they will meet on Sunday to decide on further action if their demand for these measures not to be passed through Parliament is not met.
