Post-mortem shows Aegina woman and nephew were beaten and burned

A 71-year-old woman and her 44-year-old nephew were beaten and burned alive in their home on the island of Aegina, a postmortem has revealed.

Authorities believe that that the pair were tied up by robbers who were hoping to find valuables or cash in the property.

Officers said there had been rumors on the island that the 44-year-old had recently come into money after selling a house.
