Thessaloniki man arrested on child abuse charges
A 53-year-old man was arrested in Thessaloniki on Friday on suspicion of sexually abusing his ex-wife’s 16-year-old daughter.
Police acted after a complaint was lodged by the teenager and her mother.
The man is alleged to have been abusing the girl for the last five years.
Officers raided the man’s home and found 70 DVDs containing pornography featuring underage girls.
Police are investigating whether he may have assaulted other girls.
Also on Friday, police in Thessaloniki published the details of a 56-year-old man whom they believe was abusing a 9-year-old girl.
The man was reported to the police by an acquaintance after he saw indecent images of the young girl on the man’s computer.
