Columns of high-voltage pylons march through the northeastern outskirts of Athens, where Public Power Corporation workers carried out repairs yesterday as part of a general overhaul of the capital’s electricity supply ahead of the August 13-26 Olympics. The International Olympic Committee and Greek organizing officials have expressed concern over the construction of two new substations scheduled for the Games.
