Varoufakis reportedly set to launch European movement in Berlin next month
Former Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis is set to launch a new pan-European movement in Berlin on February 9, according to reports in Germany.
The new activist group is expected to be called Democracy in Europe Movement 2025, or DiEM25.
Varoufakis recently said in an interview that he would like to contribute to the “democratizing” of Europe and to show voters that there is a third way between a return to the nation state and the “undemocratic structures” of today’s European institutions.
