Off-duty special guard shot in Athens
A 32-year-old special guard was injured after an unknown assailant shot him in the leg in the early hours of Monday, authorities announced.
According to reports, a man approached the victim, who was off duty, on pedestrian Voutadon Street in central Athens, asked him what his name was and then shot him.
The police officer was being treated at the 401 Military Hospital while an investigation was under way.
