UN’s Eide to meet Kotzias in Athens
The United Nations mediator for the Cyprus issue Espen Barth Eide was expected to meet with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias in Athens on Tuesday.
The meeting was expected to focus on developments in the ongoing efforts aimed at reaching a peace accord on the divided island.
Cyprus was split in 1974 after Turkey invaded following a coup aiming to united the island with Greece.
