Greek pensioners on more than 3,000 euros/month total 0.09 pct
There are some 2,500 pensioners in Greece that receive more than 3,000 euros per month in retirement pay, Parliament was informed on Wednesday.
In response to a question submitted by 18 SYRIZA MPs, the Labor Ministry said that 2,550 out of 2.6 million pensioners, or 0.09 percent of the total, take home more than 3,000 euros per month.
Those pensioners are eligible for two or more pensions and are mostly retired civil servants, lawyers, engineers or doctors, the ministry said.
