Kozani man admits to murdering wife
A 40-year-old man confessed on Wednesday to murdering his wife, whose body had been found buried in a field in northern Greece, police said.
The man was taken in for questioning after officers found the body of 37-year-old Anthi Linardou, who had been missing since Saturday night, buried in Velvento, near Kozani.
The man had previously denied knowing what happened to his wife.
It was not immediately clear what had happened to the victim but some reports claimed she had been strangled and that her body had been transported to the field in a pick-up truck.
