ADEDY to stage pensions protest in Omonia on Saturday
Civil servants’ union ADEDY said on Wednesday that it will hold a rally along with other labor groups in Athens on Saturday to protest the government’s pension proposals.
The demonstration is due to begin at noon in Omonia Square.
ADEDY said in its statement that it does not believe the plan put forward by the government to Greece’s lenders will put the country’s pension system on a sustainable path but, rather, will lead to all pensioners suffering reductions in their retirement pay.
