Striking lawyers to march on Parliament
The Athens Bar Association (DSA) has called on its members to take part in a rally on Thursday afternoon in protest to the coalition government’s proposed reforms in the Greek pension system. Thursday was also the last day of a three-day strike by lawyers.
The rally was expected to begin outside the association’s central offices in Athens and pass by the Labor Ministry before concluding outside Parliament, where a resolution was expected to be delivered.
According to reports, following the rally the heads of bar associations from across the country where expected to convene in order to evaluate the situation and determine possible further action.
