Kozani suspect to face prosecutor over wife’s murder
A 40-year-old man who confessed to murdering his wife and burying her body in a field in Velvento, near Kozani, was expected to face a prosecutor on Thursday. The victim, 37-year-old Anthi Linardou, had been reported missing since Saturday evening.
Authorities believe the 40-year-old strangled his spouse following an argument in their home.
The suspect’s 67-year-old father has also been detained, after police officers discovered two unlicensed hunting rifles at his residence.
