Over 1,000 staff to be hired for Greece’s museums and sites

The Ministry of Culture has started the process to hire 1,414 guards, night watchmen and cleaners for the country’s museums and archaeological sites, after several popular attractions around the country were forced to close temporarily due to staff shortages.

The decision to hire the workers on fixed-term contracts was signed by Alternate Minister for Administrative Reform Christoforos Vernardakis, while the Culture Ministry will be responsible for assigning them to posts according to need.
