Varoufakis denies reports of armed man in his apartment block
Former finance minister Yanis Varoufakis denied media reports on Tuesday that an armed man had entered the apartment building where he lives in Athens and was confronted by a police guard.
In a written statement, Varoufakis dismissed the report as “lies,” adding that he does not have a police guard, or a private one.
“This is just another example of the values crisis afflicting the Greek media,” the statement said.
