Three arrested over northern Athens burglaries
Police have arrested three people and are searching for another three in connection to dozens of burglaries in northern Athens, authorities said Tuesday.
Three men were arrested after a chase on Friday night. The car the men were traveling in failed to stop when police officers tried to pull it over in Vrilissia, northern Athens.
The car was eventually brought to a halt in Maroussi, several kilometers away.
Officers have linked the gang to 42 burglaries that netted hundreds of thousands of euros in stolen goods that the suspects sold to middlemen.
Police also said Tuesday that they have arrested two men on suspicion of breaking into homes in Nea Erythraia, northern Athens.
