Lefteris Papayiannakis appointed Athens official for migration and refugee issues

Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis on Monday named councilor Lefteris Papayiannakis as deputy mayor for migration and refugee issues.

Papayiannakis ran on Kaminis’s ticket in the 2014 local elections.

He is the son of the late respected leftist politician Michalis Papayiannakis.
